spiritually informed. trauma informed. psychodynamic narrative therapy
Telling stories is in our nature. Stories about ourselves, our relationships, our world, our values and our purpose are the fabric of our lives. A narrative approach to psychotherapy emphasizes awareness of the stories we tell ourselves and empowers clients to develop healthy, nuanced, balanced narratives. Our first session will start with a story. How do you tell yours?

ABOUT ME
(and my approach to therapy)
I am a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying), a writer, and a theologian. I earned a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Toronto studying theatre, literature and philosophy. I also carry a Master’s in theology, spiritual care and psychotherapy.
My approach to therapy is spiritually-informed. I help my clients identify and clarify their beliefs, values and sense of purpose. I help them to address and heal from religious trauma.
My approach is trauma- informed. I am guided by the principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
My approach is psychodynamic. I will guide you through a process of self-reflection and self-examination that will uncover the psychological roots of emotional suffering and deregulation.
My approach is narrative. I will use techniques that will allow you to externalize your problems, gain perspective, and take control of your own story.
